Malvasia, Lanzarote’s Wine Week pays tribute to the sector on the island

  |   Business

From Tuesday, November 3rd, to Sunday 8th, coinciding with the European Day of Wine Tourism, the Regulatory Council of the O.D. of Lanzarote Wine celebrates the first edition of Malvasia: Lanzarote’s Wine Week.

This event was created to pay homage to the wines of Lanzarote and to everyone involved in the process. To do this, they have designed a schedule of activities that will specifically target local audiences, in order to bring this product to the citizens of Lanzarote.

Malvasia seeks to establish itself year after year as a new way to show the great effort made by growers and winemakers of our island for a top-quality wine. There is no doubt that the sector’s success is largely due to the support of Lanzarote’s citizens and residents. To all of them we invite you to participate and enjoy this great week of wine.

Specifically, the agenda includes an introductory wine tasting course and a talk about the peculiarities of the volcanic Malvasia at the Restaurant Qué Muac in the Castle of San José.

European Day of Wine Tourism

To conclude on Sunday in honor of the European Day of Wine Tourism, a hiking trail through the landscape of the wine will be held and an open day will be held at several wineries on the island.
