Lanzarote will have the longest seafront avenue in the world

  |   Business, Sport

This promenade will go from Costa Teguise, through Arrecife, to Puerto del Carmen.

This will allow you to walk or cycle between these two tourist enclaves and the capital of Lanzarote, also accessing the port and airport thanks to a branch to be built for this purpose.

With 26.63 kilometres, this path along the coast will be greater than the kilometres of La Coruña or the 9.25 kilometres of Atlantic City in the US state of New Jersey.

Walk, run or cycle

This major project will put the island of Lanzarote between destinations with the best promenade in the world, since its route of over 26 kilometres represents an attraction for sportsmen and passers-by, as residents and visitors can enjoy cycling, running or rollerblading. Ease of connection between the three major areas of tourism and residents significantly increases trade flows and business creation, while promoting clean mobility without CO2.

Screen plant in an industrial area

It is planned to include a ‘’plant screen’’ in the industrial zone of Punta de los Vientos, near the pier of the Marmoles to “mitigate the visual impact of its facilities” through planting trees that create a “plant screen”. Thus, this industrial area near the tourist area of Costa Teguise and busy with tourists and residents, will be beautified and will become more comfortable for the transit of people.
