Benefits of Sun, Sea and Sand

As well as the idyllic thought of the sun in our face, listening to the waves and feeling the sand between our toes, there are many benefits to ensuring we try to surround ourselves with all 3, whenever we can.

With the current Covid 19 situation, deciding to stay indoors or head out into the sunshine has become a thought process that we all consider on a daily basis.  However, there is no reason why we can’t get out into the open air where the sunlight will be hitting our faces, with the therapeutic sound of crashing waves and the sand between our toes, and enjoying the many benefits for our sanity and our health.

The sunlight  can elevate our mood and improve our quality of sleep, as well as boosting our immune system by producing Vitamin D.  The sea will relax and rejuvenate our bodies and our minds, and can reduce stress and anxiety.  The sea breeze can clear our lungs and is a natural healer.  While the sand between our toes is a natural exfoliant and can help us to feel mentally grounded, a walk in the sand can burn calories and strengthen muscles and walking barefoot in the sand can relax the body, and give a sense of well being.

Lanzarote is the perfect place to get your daily quota of all 3, as this beautiful island offers year round sunshine, amazing sand beaches and is surrounded by the beautiful glistening sea, and time spent here can have the most amazing positive impact on our lives.
